About You

The Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance reports to the Chief Legal Officer and is responsible for CINQCARE’s overall strategic direction for regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for ensuring all CINQCARE companies comply with all complex healthcare and business regulations in alignment with CINQCARE’s mission, vision, and values. This position will lead the compliance strategy, analysis and guidance on a across all CINQCARE companies and will develop and manage internal controls, process, procedures and audit compliance, manage and oversee the company’s compliance plan.

About the Job

  • Champion Regulatory and Compliance Excellence: Lead CINQCARE in achieving and maintaining full compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards, including The Joint Commission, CMS, FDA, OSHA, and state agencies, ensuring a trusted, high-quality care environment across all our locations.

  • Develop & Implement Robust Policies: Create, update, and manage policies and procedures that align CINQCARE’s practices with healthcare regulations and industry best standards, proactively preparing our team to meet and exceed regulatory expectations.

  • Drive Risk Management & Patient Safety: Assess, mitigate, and manage clinical, financial, and legal risks by implementing effective risk management strategies and proactive protocols, aiming to prevent adverse events and elevate patient outcomes.

  • Conduct Compliance Audits & Drive Improvement: Perform regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance gaps, ensuring CINQCARE’s commitment to continuous quality improvement and adherence to all relevant guidelines.

  • Engage in Regulatory Partnerships: Serve as CINQCARE’s primary liaison with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries, coordinating regulatory surveys, and guiding the organization’s proactive responses to ensure unwavering compliance.

  • Monitor & Enhance Compliance Culture: Promote ethical behavior and a culture of compliance across CINQCARE by implementing programs to address fraud, waste, and abuse, while educating teams on best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Adapt & Support CINQCARE’s Mission: Embrace evolving regulatory landscapes and actively participate in initiatives that support CINQCARE’s mission, continuously enhancing our commitment to ethical, mission-driven, and compliant healthcare.

About You

  • 10 years of progressive leadership in Regulatory Affairs/Accreditation, or Health Administration experience, including 5 years of Management experience.
  • Previous experience with developing and implementing CMS-2567 Corrective Action Plans, Joint Commission Evidence of Standard Compliance, and new programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements (TJC, CMS, VDH, DBHDS, OSHA)
  • Previous experience with managing unannounced accreditation and regulatory surveys.
  • Previous experience with compliance requirements for healthcare and OSHA.
  • Experience in transformation and change leadership helpful.
  • Experience in leading process improvement initiatives as well as teaching and coaching new leaders.

The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:

In-office work (minimum three days per week) is performed indoors in a traditional office setting with conditioned air, artificial light, and an open workspace.

In this position you will need an to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
