Position Overview
The Senior System Analyst will play a critical role in supporting CINQCARE's clinical operations by supporting Cinq Care’s Athena EHR and related clinical and operational systems. This role gathers and documents requirements, optimizes workflows, provides cross-functional coordination, and ensures systems are aligned with business needs. Key Responsibilities
· Lead requirements gathering across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle stakeholders for Athena modules.
· Map current-state and future-state workflows and identify gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities.
· Partner with implementation leaders, solution architects, and vendor teams to ensure configuration aligns with business needs.
· Participate in system design reviews, testing cycles, and validation of enhancements.
· Create and maintain detailed documentation: requirements, process flows, and SOPs.
· Act as the liaison between clinical teams, operations, IT, and external vendors.
· Translate business needs into functional specifications and system requirements.
· Support integration between Athena and other systems such as population health, analytics, and care management tools.
· Provide analytical insights using system data to support decision-making.
· Partner with Training and Operations teams to support go-lives, updates, and workflow changes.
· Assist in developing user training materials and operational guides.
· Provide post-implementation support to diagnose issues and recommend solutions.
· Identify opportunities to improve EHR usability, provider experience, and data integrity.
· Ensure systems support compliance with regulatory, clinical, and documentation standards.
· Evaluate user feedback, troubleshoot workflow challenges, and propose improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience in healthcare.
- 2+ years supporting Athenahealth systems (clinical, operational, or revenue cycle).
- Experience with requirements gathering, workflow mapping, and writing functional specifications.
- Strong understanding of ambulatory care workflows and healthcare data.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clinicians and operational leaders.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Athenahealth certification(s).
- Experience supporting EHR integrations (HL7, FHIR, APIs).
The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:
Work is performed indoors in a setting with conditioned air and artificial light. Travel to and work in offices or other environments is required.
In this position you will need an to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers in person and over devices, sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.
