Open-Source Intelligence Analyst (OSINT)

Responsibilities:

Calhoun International is seeking a qualified Open-Source Intelligence Collector to support an INDOPACOM customer. The OSINT collector conducts research and collection of information available from public, private, and U.S. and foreign Government open-source materials within established security protocols. Writes open-source intelligence reports (OSIRs) based on foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to address defense intelligence requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of related experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree.
  • Experience using current OSINT/PAI databases/tools, such as but not limited to: Dataminr, Babel Street, Scraawl, Maltego, Open IO, Zignal, Echosec, SILO, TweetDeck, HootSuite, Hyperion, Google Dorking, Dark Web Systems, ANB or other similar link analysis/nodal development products
  • Experience researching, developing, and using OSINT collection plans
  • Familiarity with CCMD level planning / operations, collection management processes

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with and experience writing IAW DIA Style Manual.
  • 1-2 years' experience writing OSIRs IAW DIA Defense Intelligence Enterprise Manager (DIEM) guidance
  • Successful completion of one of the following courses:
    • US Army BOSIC
    • DIA BOSC 301
    • DIA BOSC 302
    • DIA BOTC
    • DIA AOTC
  • Additional desired training includes but is not limited to:
    • Cyber Advanced Support Operations (CASO)
    • SOCOM Network Exploitation, Research & Discovery (NERD)
    • Desired experience: Prior CCMD experience. Ability to work in a fast paced/ high OPTEMPO environment.
