A leading university is seeking a Waste Coordinator to support waste operations and sustainability initiatives across campus properties. This role focuses on maintaining waste enclosures, ensuring proper waste diversion, and supporting environmental programs.

Waste Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Support waste operations across multiple properties, ensuring waste areas are maintained and operational needs are addressed, including overflow and bulky item management.
• Ensure proper waste diversion by monitoring landfill, recycling, and compost bins and correcting sorting issues within waste enclosures.
• Break down boxes and remove contamination such as e-waste, hazardous materials, and bulky items to maintain compliance with sustainability standards.
• Post and maintain signage in waste enclosures to promote correct waste disposal practices and support sustainability initiatives.
• Perform general support tasks and additional duties as assigned to meet operational and environmental program goals.

Waste Coordinator Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, sorting, and handling waste materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions related to waste sorting and safety procedures.
• Ability to work weekends and maintain consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Shift:

• Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
