A leading biotechnology company is seeking a Utilities Maintenance Planner to support Utilities Operations by planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with cGMP and quality standards in an FDA-regulated environment.
Utilities Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate routine and non-routine maintenance, repairs, and facilities activities, translating work notifications into detailed work plans and schedules that include technical documentation, safety procedures, permits, labor, tools, materials, and resource requirements aligned with production and shutdown activities.
- Maintain CMMS data integrity by performing updates, corrections, and system administration tasks, while monitoring completed work orders to evaluate plan quality and track equipment performance trends.
- Collaborate with facilities teams, production staff, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of maintenance activities, minimize downtime, and maintain continuous facility operations.
- Support the development and implementation of maintenance programs aligned with industry best practices and cGMP standards, including preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance, total productive maintenance, and spare parts inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMPs, and company quality requirements while identifying process improvements, recommending workflow enhancements and training needs, maintaining communication across teams, and completing required safety and operational training.
Utilities Maintenance Planner Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance organization supporting asset management, CMMS administration, or similar systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (Operations or Supply Chain), Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, utility maintenance systems, and related tools.
- Working knowledge of cGMP requirements related to equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment.
- Completion of required cGMP, safety, and on-the-job training per department policies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team setting.
