Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst
A leading music streaming company seeks a Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring large computer networks and server farms for problems from a central location. The Analyst will also analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the systems, communicate with Operations teams, and track problems through to resolution. The ideal candidate has two to four years of related experience in a computer/network operations environment.
Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $30/hr-$40/hr
- Worksite: Leading music streaming company (Dallas, TX - Onsite)

- 36-40 hours/week, 4 Month Assignment, Possible extension/conversion
Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst Responsibilities:
- Lead the effort for notifications (e-mail, text, and phone), cross-functional team triage sessions, status to Senior Leadership teams, and communications to internal/external stakeholders during production incidents.
- Perform 24x7 monitoring of system performance and communicate any problems to the team and management.
- Recommend and perform operational enhancements, including but not limited to: process improvement, documentation updates, monitoring enhancements, and communications to leadership on production incidents.
- Assist with maintaining NOC operational, escalation, and notification documentation.
- Owns efforts for incident notifications, gathering internal participants for triage sessions, and communications via notifications to all internal and external stakeholders
- Document the steps taken during the Incident to resolve the issue and communicate them to the incident team
- Coordinate with the IT Support Center on any necessary problem escalation and make sure operations staff and management are informed of any major errors.
- Timely and accurately create and update Incident Tickets using the ticketing system.
- Ensure all work is done completely and correctly, including all logs and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor overall system, server, and application performance. Note and record anomalies, and recommend enhancements to improve performance.
- Identify any trends in the current monitoring system and recommend changes or improvements.
- Recommend changes and enhancements that improve the efficiency of operation.
- Thoroughly communicate the shift review to the oncoming shift.
- Maintain all logs, records, and reports relative to shift operations.
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities.
- Perform Network password reset requests.
Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of related experience in a computer/network operations environment.
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical school education.
- Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Adapt well to a rapidly changing environment.
- Possesses excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Work independently as a member of a team and lead by example.
- Work closely with IT personnel regarding operational issues.
- Additional shift coverages may be asked to cover TSOC activities.
Shift:
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (12 hours per shift).
- May require weekend/overnight shifts.
