A leading university is seeking a Manager, Space Data and Analytics to oversee space data management, analytics, and reporting. This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for space and occupancy data, supporting strategic planning, data governance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Manager, Space Data and Analytics Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all space data analytics and reporting for the SoM, serving as the primary contact and subject matter expert for space and occupancy data, supporting strategic space planning, and presenting analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and planning committees.
  • Develop and apply qualitative and quantitative methods to identify data patterns and trends, proactively recommend areas for investigation, analyze space classification accuracy, and provide departments with recommendations and corrective actions to ensure proper data integrity.
  • Audit and validate space data by creating reports and scripts to assess iSpace data accuracy and completeness, investigate discrepancies to determine root causes, resolve coding variances between university and hospital data, and oversee collaboration between OFPM Space Administration and SoM coordinators to implement corrections.
  • Lead and manage the annual Space Data Certification process, including establishing guidelines, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with fiscal requirements, and providing training to SoM DFA staff and space coordinators.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with OFPM teams, LBRE, technical staff, vendors, and stakeholders to standardize processes, improve system utilization, develop dashboards and reporting tools, support ad-hoc analyses, publish space data guidelines, and implement consistent processes to maintain accurate, complete data while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Manager, Space Data and Analytics Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in space management, space planning, data analytics, or database management.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with space database management systems (e.g., Archibus).
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience developing business intelligence reports, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Knowledge of database structures, system integration, and data mapping concepts.
  • Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Excel VBA, PLSQL, Oracle Database, OBIEE, or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Shift:

  • Monday, Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (hybrid).
