A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Computed Tomography Technologist to provide diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) services for inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patients under the direction of the supervising radiologist, while delivering safe, accurate, efficient, and cost-effective CT imaging services.

Computed Tomography Technologist Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) examinations for inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patients in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and adherence to radiation safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely diagnostic imaging services and support quality patient care.
  • Verify patient identity, explain imaging procedures, position patients appropriately, and monitor patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and compliance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards.

Computed Tomography Technologist Associate Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Completion from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, or a College Diploma in a related field.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist, Radiography through the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered in Radiography (R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • One of the following certifications is required:
    • Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT), OR
    • Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) through ARRT.
  • Experience performing diagnostic CT imaging in a hospital, outpatient, or emergency care setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CT imaging procedures, radiation safety practices, patient care standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
  • Evening shift with rotating backup call responsibilities.
