A leading biotechnology company is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to support the automation and digitization of product development workflows for the company's Tissue Diagnostics Development Organization.

AI Solutions Architect Responsibilities:

  • Create custom technical solutions to assist our scientists and engineers in accelerating innovation.
  • Generate innovative automation design solutions, test for performance, and identify prime opportunities to design and deploy Generative AI and Robotic Process Automation solutions.
  • Assess system interactions, develop new automated workflows, and simplify with long-term solutions.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to audit and map complex diagnostic workflows, identifying bottlenecks and designing "future state" processes that transition analog tasks into digitized, automated systems.
  • Design and deploy end-to-end technical solutions utilizing LLMs, scripting (Python/Bash), and integration tools to automate manual data entry and information retrieval.
  • Develop and manage rigorous evaluation frameworks for AI outputs, ensuring quality checks are in place to mitigate hallucinations and maintain strict adherence to data privacy and security compliance.
  • Design, test, and refine complex prompt structures and manage the integration of AI APIs into existing business systems to enhance organizational productivity.
  • Establish baseline productivity metrics and track KPIs to measure the ROI and time saved through newly implemented automated processes.
  • Lead the rollout of new AI tools across the organization, providing technical communication that translates complex concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders to ensure high adoption rates

AI Solutions Architect Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline.
  • Or an MS with 2+ years or a PhD.
  • Advanced proficiency in state-of-the-art models, including a deep understanding of token limits, specific model constraints, and appropriate use cases for varying architectures.
  • Proven ability to architect solutions that bridge siloed data environments and create accessible, digitized information flows.
  • Proven skill in bridging the communication gap between specialized Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical teams, ensuring that AI solutions address the specific pain points of a product development environment.
  • Proficiency in Python or Bash and hands-on experience with automation platforms.
  • Ability to partner with scientists and engineering teams, translating technical requirements into operational excellence.
  • Critical thinking skills to determine the most efficient tool for a task, knowing when to deploy a complex AI model versus a simple, cost-effective script.
