  • Worksite: Leading medical institution (San Francisco, CA 94143 - Open to candidates located in California, 95% remote, Onsite a couple of times per year in San Francisco)

  • 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment – Possibility of extension

A leading medical institution is looking for an Academic Human Resources Analyst to oversee Academic Personnel policies, contracts and procedures. The ideal candidate will have HR Generalist experience in an academic/university setting.

Academic Human Resources Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Recommend, develop, implement, administer, coordinate, and / or evaluate Academic Human Resources policies, labor contracts, statutes, programs, and procedures covering one or more of the following: academic recruitment, appointment, and advancement; compensation and salary administration; faculty welfare programs; visa procurement; benefits; payroll; training and development; faculty misconduct; and faculty equity.
  • Apply professional UC Academic HR concepts, organization and / or system wide policies, and procedures to provide guidance to supervisors and managers to resolve a variety of academic human resources issues of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Work with client departments to facilitate their Academic Personnel business needs, be responsive, identify problems, assist with resolution of routine issues, and analyzes moderately complex issues to recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate with schools, business units, and specialty centers to deliver efficient and effective personnel services, while ensuring compliance with university policy and procedures.
  • Support the onboarding of over 600 Residents and Clinical Fellows and 400 Graduate Student Researchers. Reviewing various HR requests, analyzing and processing as appropriate.
  • Visa/immigration coordination with UC International Scholars Office and candidate.
  • Assist Academic Personnel Analysts with needed HR tasks and in other related duties as assigned.

Academic Human Resources Analyst Qualifications:

  • HR Generalist experience (i.e. experience working on the lifecycle of an employee, e.g., onboarding, managing payroll, employment issues, offboarding, etc.)
  • Academic/University experience.
  • Accountable to high customer service standards, service level agreements and related metrics.
  • Perform all duties with tact, discretion and according to confidentiality requirements.

Shift:

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
