We are looking for someone with a curious mind to augment our team of analysts in helping answer some of the most challenging questions at ASCAP. The person in this role will be responsible for helping set the foundation for self-service analytics at ASCAP, which will carry with it a great deal of learning about both how ASCAP operates in the music space and about music industry data in general.  

If you enjoy music and hope to become an analyst some day, this role is for you. Candidates will be exposed to a proper data organization, learning about how data is moved from its raw form through operational systems and repurposed for complex analyses.


  • Support day-to-day activities of the data strategy team responsible for ad hoc analyses among other key analytics’ initiatives

  • Help drive self-service analytics throughout the organization by capturing and organizing critical knowledge in a centralized location (main deliverable by the end of the engagement)

Required Skills

  • Excel and basic SQL knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exposure to Tableau a plus

  • Passion for music a plus

  • Interested and passionate about data and data analysis

  • Interested in learning more advanced SQL (including real-world applications of it)
