Job Description:

Allogene is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist or Scientist to join our Analytical Development group and contribute to the commercialization of allogenic CAR T therapies. The incumbent will play a key role in CAR T cell therapy related analytical assay development and execution of drug product release assays.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and contribute to CAR T cell characterization by cytokine release, and flow cytometry, etc.
  • Support drug product release and stability testing
  • Review and contribute to authoring of SOPs, test reports, raw material specifications, patent disclosures and regulatory submissions
  • Implement Quality by designing methodology to support BLA and commercialization
  • Refine pre-IND clinical programs through cross-functional collaborations with Research, Process Development and other vested parties
  • Work collaboratively across various project teams to meet deadline-dependent milestones

Position Requirements & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years or Master’s Degree with 2+ years of relevant cell biology, immunology or biochemistry experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with cell culture is required
  • Experience with Prism, Flowjo and Microsoft office program
  • Prior working knowledge in ELISA, FACS preferred
  • Working knowledge of Quality control and assay qualification is a plus
  • Self-motivated, detail-orientated, and eager to be part of a positive work environment with other researchers
  • Diligent, strong growth mindset with a positive “can-do” attitude towards assigned tasks is expected
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Cell and gene therapy experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Quality control and GMP requirements is a plus
