About the role:

The candidate will evaluate the material flow, operational readiness, and equipment suitability processes in the manufacturing areas with intent to identify risk to the process and improve operational pain points. The candidate will also help to scale out efficiencies learned as the facility plans to expand. By the end of the internship, the candidate would have suggestions to improve existing procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The candidate will learn what it takes to maintaining a sterile manufacturing environment and the concept of a sterile boundary.
  • Follow all cleaning and gowning procedures for the facility.
  • Candidate will be exposed to material flow in manufacturing.
  • They will learn current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) as it relates to contamination control and processing best practices.
  • They will also learn how to navigate an active quality management system (QMS).
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Associates in relevant field related to science, design, logistic planning, or journalism.
  • The candidate should also understand basic biological principles, i.e., cell culture and growth.
  • Demonstrate the ability to simplify processes and aims for continuous improvement.
  • Occasional use of hazardous materials and chemicals required.
  • Frequent use of personal protective equipment required.
  • The candidate must possess basic office software skills, i.e., word and excel.
  • Frequent periods of sitting, walking, and standing required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication are essential in this collaborative work environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
