Comtech Xicom is seeking a Sr. RF Engineering Technician to join our Manufacturing group.
Job Summary: Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized apparatus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs inspection of all materials and documentation prior to performing assigned task.
Performs more complicated and advanced tests requiring considerable judgment in determining work methods, interpreting test results;
Writes clear and accurate test result reports.
Develops troubleshooting guide & write test procedures.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
Supports the manufacturing group with the more advanced component level troubleshooting of analog & digital circuits.
Maintains positive working relationships with co-workers and management.
Performs other duties and responsibilities when required.
Performs set-up, calibration, and extensive in-depth production test of sub-assemblies and/or final product.

Qualifications/Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Strong RF microwave experience
Strong instrumentation and data acquisition skills required.
Data reduction and report writing.
Ability to trouble-shoot components and systems required.
Working knowledge of complex electronic systems
Ability to work independently.
Ability to be proactive to identity problem areas.
Good verbal, written and organizational skills.
Education and/or Experience: High school education or equivalent required. AA degree or technical college certificate in Electronics with four years of job related experience or ten to twelve (10-12) years of job related experience.
