About the Job:

If you are always a Pig and never a chicken-- and if you know what those references point to-- the role of the Scrum Master may be for you. We are looking for a person who is a facilitator, a superior communicator, an an organizational whiz kid to serve and guide our Scrum teams. We are looking for well-rounded characters who would score high on emotional intelligence, if there were such a test. No top down military attitudes here-- If you're an ace at removing impediments and you're a top notch intermediary between between product managers, developers, and quality assurance engineers, check out our position!


Job Responsibilities:   

General Responsibilities:

• Serve as a liaison between product owners, developers, management and other stakeholders
• Identify and remove impediments to progress
• Assist in mitigating distractions and increasing team focus
• Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
• Empower the team to self-organize
• Be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks
Support the Product Development Process:
• Organize and facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives, release planning, demos, and other related meetings
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
• Facilitate communication, improve transparency, and radiate information
Support the Product Owner:
• Assist as needed with backlog maintenance
• Assist with prioritization and resolution of product defects
What We're Looking For:
• Be intimately familiar with Scrum
• Be an excellent facilitator
• Be highly available to the team
• Be a Certified Scrum Master
• Have Project Management experience
• Be able to understand technical issues at a high level
• Have the ability to hold team members accountable, set clear performance standards, resolve performance issues, keep team engaged and on task
