Job Description:

Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, located in the beautiful hills of the historical Vallejo’s Ranch in American Canyon, has an immediate opening for a Brand Manager. We are currently seeking an experienced marketer who shows initiative and has experience in both tier-three distribution wholesale and Direct to Consumer.

The Jamieson Ranch Vineyards (JRV) Brand Manager will direct and manage all aspects of the marketing mix including product positioning, pricing, packaging, POS development (wholesale & DTC), promotion, PR, ecommerce and consumer advertising across the entire JRV portfolio including: Double Lariat, all DTC SKUs, Reata, Whiplash and Light Horse.


Reporting to and working closely with the VP Marketing, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of the marketing mix for both wholesale and DTC products and branding; this position will work closely with Sales, Winemaking, Operations, and the winery staff to implement plans.  This position will be based in American Canyon (Winery) and Novato, CA (Corporate headquarters).

Experience Required

  • College degree (marketing or related field strongly preferred)
  • 5 years minimum previous wine and/or CPG marketing experience
  • Strong and consistent track record of successful brand growth
  • Strong wine knowledge and appreciation


Experience Preferred

  • MBA strongly preferred
  • CPG marketing experience
  • Field sales or distributor management experience
  • Previous team leadership experience

  • Wine brand management experience
  • Track record of creative program development and execution
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Advanced understanding of various pricing strategies across multiple markets and channels
  • Previous budget management experience

  • Basic understanding of the 3-tiered distribution system

  • Ecommerce understanding
  • Social networking understanding (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Collaborative, strong team player with ability to work with cross-department stakeholders
