Bottling Line Mechanic
Bottling Line | Sonoma, CA | Full Time | From $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Bottling Mechanic has the responsibility of maintaining the bottling line equipment in good working condition. They will work on the bottling line along-side the Bottling Operators to assist in keeping the line producing. The Bottling Mechanic is expected to respond quickly to problem areas. They will perform emergency repairs, corrective and preventative maintenance on all equipment used in normal operations in the facility. Changing the line equipment over for different package runs, fine tuning the output and trouble-shooting breakdowns are all normal everyday tasks. In addition, responsible for ordering equipment parts and assisting with line upgrades.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Complete understanding of the safety manual for all machines.
· Understand, operate and troubleshoot all equipment in the facility.
· Change over, fine tune, adjust and repair bottling line equipment.
· Perform more complex electrical, VFD, hydraulic, plumbing and pneumatic repairs on plant systems and bottling line equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
· Understands, operates and can troubleshoot all auxiliary and Cellar equipment.
· Capable of reading machinal and electrical schematics.
· Ability to work with equipment in the maintenance shop. Possess welding and fabrication skills.
· Able to use the CMMS system to generate and edit PMs, procure parts, manage inventories and enter corrective workorders.
· Ensure optimum equipment operation and efficiency at all times.
· Ability to work and think independently without supervision.
· Teach line operators techniques and tips to optimize their machine’s output.
· Willingness to perform duties productively, efficiently; with good teamwork habits.
· Positively collaborate with the Bottling Line Team to ensure safe and efficient operations of the bottling line.
· Perform PM’s on bottling and auxiliary equipment.
· Complete any required paperwork associated with PM’s and other maintenance activities.
· Assist in the tracking of downtime related events on the bottling line.
· Communicate maintenance needs to the Bottling Operation Manager.
· Assist in the organization and cleaning of the Maintenance Shop.
· Contribute to and uphold ISO 9001standards and quality management system policies.
· Ordering parts for equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Three years of experience in bottling line maintenance.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Forklift certified a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and weekends when needed.
- Have a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Extensive problem-solving, mechanical aptitude and tool skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow through on projects.
- Complex troubleshooting skills.
- Possesses an extensive array of maintenance tools.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Must be at least 21
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English language. Bilingual with Spanish a plus
