About the Position
The Hein Company seeks a Procurement Associate who will be responsible for preparing books and periodicals for digitization, handling borrowed books, and tracking of materials for HeinOnline and Microfilm.
The Procurement Associate’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining relationships with lending institutions and publishers.
- Requesting to borrow materials from lending institutions and communicating throughout the borrowing period.
- Requesting PDFs & XMLs from publishers of titles we are adding to our database.
- Creating and maintaining orders in our database for books/titles that we are borrowing.
- Managing the movement of inventory, books, and documents.
- Maintaining the weekly claims list
- Entering bibliographic information into our database.
- Entering all updates including Journal and Bar Journal updates in our database
- Checking copyright on new titles that will be entering our database
- Any and all duties requested by management

- Ability to carry out tasks and determine a course of action based on a variety of variables for each given situation.
- Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet goals/deadlines.
- Proficient working in a Windows environment and with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to type a minimum of 50 words per minute
Required Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in an office setting and communicating with outside vendors/customers

Monday – Friday
Choice of 7:30am-4:00pm, 8:00am to 4:30pm, or 8:30am-5:00pm
Salary
$18.00-$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
