About the Position
The Hein Company seeks a Seasonal Check-In Associate to complete data entry tasks related to checking-in books and materials that are to be digitized. This includes:

  • Creating new entries in our database for books/journals that we will be digitizing.
  • Updating bibliographic information in our database.
  • Updating records in our database when we borrow books from libraries and other lending institutions.
  • Opening mail so we can complete our weekly updates to HeinOnline.
  • Checking for any publishing restrictions of our content (embargoes).

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry our tasks based on a predetermined course of action.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; completed or in progress
  • Experience in an office setting; helpful but not required


Other Position Information

Schedule

  • Option of working 20 hours per week or 40 hours per week
  • Working hours will be between 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Seasonal during the summer months (May/June to August)

Salary

$17.50 per hour
