General Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Accountant II will play a key role in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. They will work closely with other members of the accounting team to prepare monthly financial statements and will also assist the Controller on projects as needed. The ideal candidate will possess advanced general ledger accounting experience as well as audit experience.  To excel on the team, they will need the ability to multitask, think independently, and work quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate month-end close process

  • Preparation of general ledger entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations

  • Assist in establishing, documenting, and monitoring department policies, procedures, and internal controls

  • Lead periodic internal audits and respond to general audit requests

  • Be proactive in suggesting process improvements

  • Perform other duties and special assignments as required

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years public accounting experience or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA preferred

  • NetSuite experience preferred

  • Experience managing others a plus

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work

  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
