Wondercide is searching for a proactive self-starter to precisely craft batches of our natural products using formulas and measurements and who would love to have the coolest job title ever.
We are an Austin-based company founded by a woman on a mission to save her dog after she nearly died from pesticide poisoning due to flea & tick “spot drops.” Today, what she developed to save her dog is protecting pets, families and property around the world from fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and other pests without using toxic pesticides. Millions of pets still get these toxic drops, and we’re on a mission to show the world that you don’t have to poison to protect your pack.
The Mixologist role supports the Wondercide team by assuming responsibility for efficiently carrying out the day-to-day batch manufacturing process of Wondercide’s core product group. Key to this role is maintaining integrity of materials and batch information, thereby supporting established quality standards. You will be fully engaged and busy from the first day and we guarantee there will never be a dull moment!
WHO YOU ARE:
2 years of experience in a production and warehouse environment preferred
Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team setting
Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
Must have excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work standing for extended periods
Diligent, dependable, and punctual
Computer skills a must! (Experience in Google Drive and Sheets a plus)
Excellent math skills and understanding of standard weights and measures
Experience with natural ingredients and/or essential oils a plus
Experience in research or formulary chemistry with personal care products a plus
Strong academic background in sciences a must
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other closely related sciences a plus
Safety minded and mechanically inclined
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Prepare and mix raw materials for all batches to meet production needs
Precisely record batch and process details, during each manufacturing cycle
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and equipment
Assist in developing and maintaining sustainable, standardized processes to ensure batches are processed in accordance with established guidelines and quality standards
Assist CEO, along with internal and external stakeholders, with R&D as needed
Serve as in-house chemist
Inspect for quality and regularly report to Management
Support Operations Management, as needed, with reporting requirements
Additional tasks as requested by Management
This position is full-time at our Austin headquarters off Burnet Rd.,near Mopac and 183.
