Social Media Specialist

Whole Body Fitness is looking to hire a talented and driven Social Media Specialist to administer our social media accounts. We are a local gym that provides weight loss, health and fitness training programs. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and fitness driven individual who enjoys working in a fun-paced environment!                                                   

Position Summary

You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

As a Social media specialist, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

 

Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action

  • Create and maintain company social media pages and profiles

  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing and social media

  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist

  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented  with good multitasking and organizational ability

  • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred
