Scrum Master

Watermark Insights is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join our team. You will be responsible for guiding our software development team through the use of Agile/Scrum principles and ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed. The Scrum Master is responsible for implementing, facilitating, and enabling the Scrum process at the team level. The Scrum Master should have demonstrated the ability to effectively collaborate with a software team in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
Help the Scrum Team to create high-value products by facilitating the team’s progress toward their objectives
Empower the development team to decide how to best accomplish goals through self-organization
Ensure the Scrum Team’s progress by eliminating impediments and empowering the team to resolve impediments on their own
Establish an environment where Scrum Team can be effective, protect the team from any disruptive influences that can jeopardize team success
Facilitate Scrum events and ensure sprint success through rigorous application of Scrum best practices
Work with the team to ensure Jira stories are written at a level appropriate for proper estimation and delivery, ensure Jira stories have Acceptance Criteria
Guide the team away from over-committing and scope creep, aid in estimation and sub task creation, as needed
Administer and monitor scrum board, ensure scrum board reflects up to date status of scrum commitments, create burndown and velocity charts as needed
Monitor, review and clearly articulate the context of changes in development metrics with the Scrum Team and its stakeholders
Support the Watermark organization and Scrum Teams in reaching higher levels of Scrum Framework application maturity
Provide 1-on-1 agile coaching to Scrum team as needed
Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on bettering both team dynamics and performance
Work with other Scrum Masters to coordinate activities and improve cross-team collaboration in a scaled agile environment
Work as Scrum Master for more than one Scrum Team

Knowledge of scaled agile
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
Three or more years of experience in agile environment helping Scrum teams
Experience using agile software tools such as Jira and Confluence
Scrum Master certification preferred
Project Management certification is a plus
Experience managing architecture, infrastructure, or legacy migration projects is a plus
