Scrum Master

Job Description

Watermark is currently seeking a Scrum Master that embraces and enthusiastically promotes the principles of empiricism and transparency as a servant leader facilitating their Scrum Team(s) and Watermark’s application of the Scrum Framework.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Help the Development Team to create high-value products by facilitating the team’s progress toward their objectives

  • Ensure the Development Team’s progress by eliminating impediments and empowering the team to resolve impediments on their own

  • Facilitate Scrum events as needed and ensure sprint success through rigorous application of Scrum best practices

  • Monitor, review and clearly articulate the context of changes in development metrics with the Scrum Team and its stakeholders

  • Support the Watermark organization and Scrum Teams in reaching higher levels of Scrum Framework application maturity

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on bettering both team dynamics and performance

  • Work with other Scrum Masters to coordinate activities and improve cross-team collaboration in a scaled agile environment

  • Capable of serving as Scrum Master one or more Scrum Teams


Qualifications

  • Experience using agile software tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and focused servant leader

  • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict

  • Ability to work with and lead a team

  • Ability to work well with both technical and non-technical team members

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, collaboration and mentoring skills

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience

  • Prior Scrum/Agile experience

  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
