QA Engineer - India

Engineering | Chandigarh, India | Full Time

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with developers and stakeholders to thoroughly understand business or technical requirements

  • Develop test cases and plans for feature testing

  • Understand and implement automated testing scenarios using automated testing software like Selenium

  • Identify and track bugs, regression issues, and enhancement requests

  • Keep track of and report on testing progress and results

  • Understand deployment strategy and testing environments

  • Maintain testing and analysis tools; identify any negative changes to both QA and production environments and work with cross-functional teams to resolve those concerns

  • Experience with Agile development processes

  • Thorough understanding of the SDLC and QA’s role

  • Execute manual and automated testing

  • Research and analyze product features being tested

  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality

  • Work closely with scrum teams


Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

  • 4/5+ years of relevant Quality Engineering experience involving application development, deployment and testing

  • Experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, Selenium Webdriver IO, Protractor Selenium

  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Experience with supporting production changes, UAT testing and debugging prod issues.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and productively under pressure

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Team Player
