Events Coordinator

Job Description

Watermark is looking for an Events Coordinator with experience planning and executing corporate participation at conferences and internal events. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative marketing team at a fast-growing company. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and executing Watermark’s participation at industry conferences and special events, as well as executing some of our internal events. This individual will also be supporting our annual user conference and the broader marketing team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for logistics related to conferences and special events, including but not limited to:

    • Coordinating sponsorship and participation benefits with partner organizations

    • Researching, negotiating and managing event-related vendors and services.

    • Communicating with hotels and across departments to finalize travel schedules

    • Coordinating with the Marketing Intern to prepare and ship supplies to conferences and special events, while managing Watermark’s promotional inventory

    • Drafting and deploying internal email communications for conference participation.

  • Maintain and update event details on the company website and event calendar.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to execute the annual Sales Meeting and the Annual Management Offsite. 

  • Participate in the planning committee for our annual user conference and coordinate key components of the event.

  • Be an active and contributing member in our team’s creative think tank sessions.

  • Support the team with special projects, when needed.

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational skills

  • An exceptional communicator - both written and verbal - and able to communicate and build relationships with individuals at many levels of the organization

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company

You should have:

  • 1-2 years of experience planning and executing conferences and corporate events

  • Ability to negotiate and track budget and contracts

  • Some experience working with agencies or freelancers on design projects is a plus

  • Some experience with Salesforce and Marketo is a plus

  • Some travel will be expected.
