Waev is building a next-generation network for securely sharing data using the blockchain. We enable businesses to easily store and share data on the blockchain with built-in security, data privacy compliance, and monetization. Most businesses want to use their consumer data properly but the lack of a single source of content and unencrypted data in multiple systems often leads to data mishandling or data breaches. Waev is building web3 decentralized technology that not only makes it easier for businesses to manage data sharing but also unlocks new opportunities for companies to ethically monetize their data through high-value marketing partnerships called Data Unions.
We are a venture-backed web3 project with our product launching in the coming weeks looking to add our first growth/sales hire to the team. Sales Director Job Description
As a Sales Director your responsibilities will be focused on generating, managing and closing clients for Waev. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to leverage their sales experience, knowledge and processes to create a division that has the potential to rapidly scale based on the success of their efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a new business SaaS sales role. Candidates should be experienced and well versed in new business sales processes and activities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as you leverage your experience and best practices to plan and accomplish goals.
-As the first and sole salesperson you will be responsible for building/sourcing your own pipeline of new business opportunities. Our product will be launching in the coming weeks so it’s an amazing opportunity to have a massive impact on the growth of our organization.
-Work with the founders and fractional CRO to build a repeatable sales process. We’re prepared (and funded) to build out sales support resources as soon as you can make the case. For the right candidate, this is also an opportunity to build out a new team in the first few months.
-Starting off you’ll be a team of one and there are currently no BDRs but we do have some warm leads from the founders’ networks.
-Consistently meet or surpass activity metrics for outreach (calls and emails), opportunity creation, demos, and sales.
-Own the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation through close while consistently delivering on sales goals. Assist in all customer requests pre-sale from demo to legal, security review and more.
-Manage and accurately track sales opportunity in our CRM
-Interact with executives at companies ranging from SMBs to enterprises and be able to understand their needs, demonstrate the product, and close the sale.
-Collaborate with other team members and provide feedback from prospective clients as we build a scalable go-to-market process. We’re keen to implement prospect feedback into the product and our marketing to drive a successful go-to-market.
-Excited about the opportunity to take the first sales role in a fast-paced environment that is constantly learning, iterating, and growing.
-5+ Years SaaS sales experience with a track record of continually hitting activity metrics and quota.
-Metrics focused and have a history of successfully driving sales through outbound activity with email and phone calls.
-Competitive person who has a strong track record of success in reaching and surpassing quotas, regularly finishing towards the top of the leaderboard.
-Inquisitive and passionate about understanding prospective client’s challenges to figure out how Waev can bring a positive impact to their organization.
-Passionate about learning, self-development and enjoy being challenged. You like collaborating with others and understand we can do more collectively than on our own.
-You understand that Blockchain and Smart Contracts are emerging technologies that you’re excited to learn about. Ideally you understand that a basic level they’re ledgers and programs. No worries if you haven’t gone down the web3 rabbit hole yet, we can help with that!
-Eligible to work in the US, earned a Bachelors degree (or relevant experience)
-You’ve worked at a small startup before and loved it.
-You’re not afraid of ambiguity and take your own initiative when direction isn’t available.
-You’re passionate about web3, and distributed technologies and have already gone down the web3 rabbit hole.
-You’ve taken advanced/specialized sales training courses.
