Payroll Associate I

We provide a variety of social services to Los Angeles area communities such as Head Start programs, Upward Bound college prep programs, veterans’ services, homeless shelters, low-income housing program as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Responsibilities:

The Payroll Associate:

  • Trains and implements timekeeping systems for new departments
  • Answers and responds to employees on timekeeping issues
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, and pay time off balance
  • Manages and maintains day-to-day operations and the accurate and timely processing of payroll for +1400 employees

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Internet Explorer as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate with good math and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

  • 1+  years of experience with electronic payroll processing and/or timekeeping systems preferred
  • Understanding of California wage and hour legal requirements
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a compassionate, helpful team.
