The Partner Relations Specialist responsibilities are summarized as:

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with community agencies, faith based groups, healthcare providers, volunteers, etc.
  • Identifies new potential partnerships based on results of needs assessment within the program/community
  • Maintains required records, reports and statistics for administrative purposes
  • Conduct regular meetings with volunteers and partners groups
  • Advise program management regarding future program direction
  • Develop and maintain inter-agency and community relationships
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations to program management for program changes and improvements
  • Works with Program Manager to implement new projects and produces
  • Coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of departmental or program area policies and produces designed to improve operational efficiency
  • Facilitate and/or attend group collaborative meetings and training as needed or required.
  • Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 1 - 3 years experience working with veterans, people in recovery and/or homeless individuals
  • Bachelors degree in social work or related field, preferred
  • Valid California driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation preferred
  • Ability and desire to work with people from various backgrounds and/or limited English capabilities
  • Demonstrates ability of excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office, email and the internet

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be flexible and willing to work weekends/evening as necessary
  • Knowledge or experience with community organizing activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to helping others reach their full potential
