MSW – Grant Manager

Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Clinical Grant Manager monitors and assures program compliance with all clinically based contracts and grants, including budgets, goals/objectives, project obligations, treatment licensing/certification and fire/health/safety standards.  As grants become more clinically (social work) oriented, it is essential that we have a Clinical Grant Manager team member to address the funder requirements and needs.

Given this requirement, the grant development team must have an MSW on staff to ensure that we 1) accurately document how the services will be provided within the clinical frame and 2) increase our likelihood of receiving the grant.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison between the agency and funders and advise administrators as to ongoing status of project;
  • Maintain contract documentation; (i.e. copies of grant RFP’s/proposals, funder guidelines/policy and procedures manuals, budgets, work plans, reporting schedules, progress/data reports, monitoring visit requirements, schedules, corrective action plans, and related documentation;
  • Work with project and administrative staff to facilitate program per grant/contractual obligations;
  • Conduct regular site visits, working from a checklist to assure compliance with grant/contractual obligations, health and safety regulations, documentation and record-keeping standards, health and safety regulations, documentation and record-keeping standards;
  • Facilitate program licensing/certification applications, site visits, compliance and monitor correction action plans;
  • Conduct regular focus groups and client surveys and work with project evaluator/auditor (if applicable) for quality assurance;
  • Work with Director and Administrators to maintain open lines of communication between funder, program staff, program management, agency administration and regulatory bodies;
  • Work with the Director and Administrators to submit funding applications, budgets, work plans and reports;
  • Work with the Financial Officer to modify budgets as needed;
  • Work with Human Resources and Payroll to coordinate staff data for budgets/progress reports
  • Help perform policies and procedures with interdepartmental interactions involving grant procedures
  • Assist in the startup of new programs and planning out program implementation
  • Provide clinical research of intervention and practices to grant writers
  • Ensure designs of clinically based programs fit the scope of work

Required Background and Skills:

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Services or related field
  • Eligible for BBS Associate Licensure (ASW)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 Years clinically based contracts and grants experience, including budgets, goals/objectives, project obligations, treatment licensing/certification and fire/health/safety standards

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the agency’s target populations and evidence-based treatment services
  • Knowledge of evidence based practices and clinical practices in social service programs

Special Skills Preferred to Perform this Position:

  • ASW or LCSW
  • 3+ years clinically based contracts and grants experience, including budgets, goals/objectives, project obligations, treatment licensing/certification and fire/health/safety standards
