  • Secures the bungalows/apartments by periodically walking the facility, providing general oversight to assure the safety and well-being of program residents, and creating incident reports as necessary with daily log entries
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, residents, visitors and other persons to maintain security; assures residents and other individuals are in compliance with facility policies
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed
  • May assist Clinical staff in responding to emergencies by contacting police, hospital, and program manager
  • Schedules and performs regular deep cleaning projects and assist Residents with program expectations
  • Completes written reports and incidents logs of daily activities and irregularities
  • Maintains cleanliness of bungalows/apartments and public spaces and/or as assigned for the purpose of providing an effective working/learning environment that adheres to CCL requirements, prevents potential damage and reduces liability exposure
  • Conducts regular inspections of the facilities and grounds to identify repair and construction needs; reports recommendations to Program Manager for review by VOALA maintenance management
  • Performs additional duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring efficiency and effective functioning of bungalow/apartment units
  • Other duties as assigned



  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience


  • Must be at least 18 years’ old
  • Minimum of 1 year in the security field required or 6 months Monitoring experience
  • If a recovering alcohol and/or drug user, must have at least 1 year of continuous sobriety

  • Must exhibit respectful methods for reminding residents about expectations and rules without engaging in argumentative behavior
  • Excellent customer service skills a must
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise patience, understanding, creativity, and flexibility

Preferred Skills for this Position:

  • Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflict, dealing with un-cooperative clients
  • Ability to work a regular schedule provided by your direct supervisor
  • May be required to perform light cleaning to ensure facility is clean and maintained (inspection ready) at all times
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pound
