The Courier is responsible for performing scheduled courier services, including but not limited to, carrying articles, pick-up and delivery of packages, donations, documents, and other items as necessary.  Sorting, delivering, picking up mail, and other duties as directed.  Courier drivers provide a vital service to us by delivering parcels on deadline schedules and must always travel with care obeying all laws.

                                                                  (Schedule Friday thru Tuesday)



  • Drive company vehicles in order to reach destinations to deliver messages or materials timely
  • Load vehicles with listed goods, ensuring goods are loaded correctly and taking precautions with hazardous or fragile goods
  • Unload and sort items collected and delivered according to delivery routes
  • Receive messages or materials to be delivered, and information on recipients, such as names, addresses,telephone numbers, and delivery instructions, communicated via telephone, or in person
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods
  • Deliver messages and items, such as documents and packages, between work sites, and to other establishments as necessary
  • Maintain program vehicle in good operating condition by performing routine upkeep; such as monitoring fluid levels and replenishing fuel
  • Clean vehicle and equipment after deliveries
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, actual related work experience may be substituted.
  • Experienced and dependable driver (catering/food delivery experience preferred)
  • Attention to detail, especially concerning counting accurately and organizing deliveries/equipment
  • Able to perform physical requirements of job, including ability to safely lift and operate wheeled carts and dollies
  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly environment and delivering a high quality product to schools
  • Fingerprint clearance required prior to employment
  • Must have valid California driver's license and have clean driving record to be insurable by VOALA insurance

Health Requirements:

  • Proof at the time of hire
    • TB clearance within 6 months prior
    • Annual Influenza vaccination (between Aug 1 – Dec 1)
    • Pertussis (whooping cough) and measles immunization
  • Health screening at the time of employment
  • Requires ability to interact with children in a busy environment including, but not limited to:
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
    • Frequently kneel and squat
    • Ability to move quickly
