Our Veterans Succeeding in the 21st Century (VS-21) is sober program for veterans providing food and on–site transitional housing while addressing challenges such as unemployment, addiction, mental illness, and homelessness. The goal is to get veterans back into society with the knowledge and resources necessary to function independently. Our program assists homeless veterans with permanent housing, benefits, employment, medical support, financial literacy, social skills and much more while in a transitional housing environment.  Location: Downtown Los Angeles (Skid Row)



The Case Manager responsibilities are summarized as:

  • Conducts intakes including completion of bio-psycho-social assessments
  • Works with participants to develop individualized service plans with interim goals; conducts regular meetings to assess and document progress
  • Provides one-on-one counseling with participants; provides individualized life skills and financial education
  • Maintains lists of resources for participants, researching new resources as needed; provides referrals for participants; coordinates and/or provides transportation for participant and resident services
  • Facilitates cognitive-behavioral, recovery dynamics and life skills groups
  • Maintains all paperwork and required documentation, including participant database; documents resident behaviors, incidents, and complaints


  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, or social work preferred
  • Experience in adult case management preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn and use program-specific software
  • Effective written and oral communications skills
  • Experience working with veterans highly preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience working with Homeless population
  • Valid California drivers license, current auto insurance, and clean driving record
  • U.S. Armed Forces Veteran preferred
