Case Manager - Clinical (CAL-OES )

Responsibilities:

  • Establish trust and rapport using a trauma-informed care model for survivors of human trafficking, ensuring confidentiality and protection of identity within confines of the law
  • Assist Case Manager in providing crisis counseling/stabilization, needs assessments and developing individual service plans for human trafficking survivors
  • Maintain and build partnerships and coalitions with other community and government agencies providing relief to human trafficking survivors
  • Provide crisis and general mental health counseling for participants
  • Take required steps to address health, educations, vocational, recreational, social, emotional and psychological needs of each participant either one-on-one, and/or in group settings
  • Participate with other staff on rotating schedule to provide immediate, sensitive response for survivors on a 24/7 basis, including coordination with law enforcement

Requirements:

  • Master's Level Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work (MSW Preferred)
  • 3+ years of direct clinical experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence and/or human trafficking In-depth knowledge of service delivery issues
  • Demonstrated ability to follow outlined agency and contractual policy and procedures
  • Training as a Human Trafficking Caseworker pursuant to Evidence Code 1038

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid California driver's license and have reliable transportation
  • Ability and desire to work with people from various backgrounds
  • Must be reliable and able to multitask
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Excellent oral, written communication and listening skills
