This position is for weekend shifts only


The Central City Recovery Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Case Manager  handles a caseload of individuals in need of addiction-related services. The responsibilities are summarized as:

  • Conducts screenings and assessments with individuals to collect functional environmental, psycho-social, and health information, as appropriate, to develop a case plan
  • Conducts follow-up meetings to track program progress and assure continued sobriety, as required
  • Provide service linkages and support systems to ensure identified needs are met
  • Coordinates addiction-related case management activities, if required
  • Facilitates groups and completes appropriate documentation on all aspects of participant case
  • Provides crisis intervention as needed for participants
  • Continues to provide Case management and Recovery Support services for six months after patients leave program
  • Maintains a limited caseload of participants


  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology
  • Certification in drug and alcohol counseling
  • 1 - 3 years of experience working with chronic homelessness and co-occurring disorders
  • Current valid CA Class B driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Must meet Federal, State and Local Criminal Clearance and Child Abuse indexing requirements
  • Exhibits proficiency in basic computer skills and use of electronic records
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

Additional Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of continuous sobriety, if a recovering alcohol or drug user
  • Experience working in field of recovery
  • Ability to develop relationship with adult clients
  • Demonstration of emotional maturity and stability
  • Knowledge of the agency's target populations and evidence-based treatment services
