To make this happen, the tools we use need to evolve as well. This is where you come in! We are looking for a talented software developer to join our engineering team to help push our prototypes into the world. 

Requirements

Web Development

• Strong understanding of the modern web development ecosystem. 

• Extremely comfortable with Node, NPM and Typescript.

Front End Experience

• Extremely comfortable working with React, HTML and CSS.

• Familiarity with Redux, Redux-Saga and understanding of the key concepts.

Back End Experience 

• Extremely comfortable with Linux and Node.js

• Understanding of Docker and its benefits. Experience with creating, running and maintaining images.

• Experience with Firestore (Firebase) or similar databases.

Computer Vision

• Experience with OpenCV

• Familiar with techniques to improve image quality and identify key features.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano

• Experience with machine learning libraries like Tensorflow

• Experience with Google Cloud functions / or AWS Lambda functions

About You

You enjoy working on tough problems that keep you up at night.  The type of problems that require a solid understanding of mathematics, physics and statistics.  We use Typescript, but we’re not building gimmicky websites.

You love working in a small team, where every line of code you write is going to directly impact our customers worldwide. You get the creative freedom to choose how to tackle tough problems.

You’re a flexible developer – you can design, you can code, you can test and you can deploy. We don’t have a dedicated testing team, UX expert, graphics designer, or a build manager so you'll need to get good at all of these.

We are located in downtown Kitchener but currently working remotely like most companies. When the pandemic clears we will be returning to the office.
