The Voltera V-One is a desktop factory for circuit boards that allows hardware developers to cut their prototype time from months to minutes!
Back in 2013 we began our mission to modernize manufacturing… to show people that the tools we use can be innovative, beautiful, and elegant. To do that, not only do we obsess over the material science of additive manufacturing, but we place a relentless focus on customer success and user experience (shown by our industry-first software).
Our team is headquartered in Kitchener but we have V-Ones in almost 60 countries around the world! We're not done yet though... we're going bigger and that’s where you come in!
About the job:
We believe that the user experience begins from the first time someone hears about our company and that we should make that experience amazing from day 1. However, we've recently noticed that during the sales process we haven't been meeting our own standards because we're stretched pretty thin.
Sure, this job will involve making a ton of phone calls, issuing quotes, receiving purchase orders, dealing with procurement departments, and so on, but it will also require really getting to know our customers and making sure they walk away from every interaction more in love with Voltera.
Oh, and since our sales and marketing department is fairly small, we're also looking for your opinions and help on marketing content, sales strategies, tradeshow prep, post-sale engagement, etc.
It is pretty simple... we're looking for a fantastic written and oral communicator, someone who can balance dozens of active conversations with potential customers, and someone with proven ability in extrapolating those conversations to help guide sales/marketing strategy.
We're pretty obsessive about our customers and you will be the first point of contact to many of them. Needless to say we need to have complete faith in your ability to inform and delight them.
We are currently running a lot of experiments on the sales/marketing side of things so we need people that are able to set hypotheses, execute quickly, collect data, analyze results, rinse and repeat.
Don't have a technical background? Don't know a resistor from a capacitor? Unsure about the pros and cons of manufacturing in China? New to the workforce? We don't really care... in fact, we love to teach people about all of this! If you are a voracious learner, passionate about making a technical industry seem sexy, and a damn hard worker, I'm sure we'll all get along!
