Job Description

IT Administrator

Virtru is looking for an IT Administrator to run existing and create new internal technology projects, policies, and processes while supporting our team with a professional and friendly attitude. You’re passionate about customer service and our employees are your clients. We are looking for someone with a mix of tactical and strategic skills. You’ll be front-line support for technical issues related to employee setup, laptop hardware and software, email, VPN and the likes, but you should be forward thinking in creating projects that automate away manual repetitive tasks, such as SSO and account creation.


  • Onboarding / Offboarding of employees and contractors into IT systems
  • Laptop / Desktop provisioning, initial setup and support

  • Office network and WiFi management

  • Support for a range of IT needs (Telephony, printers, video conferencing, SMB Fileshare)

  • Support and troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues for remote users

  • Office physical security rotations and management (Keylocks, DVR, Alarm system, etc)

  • Inventory and asset management


  • Minimum 3 years of IT support experience

  • Administrative experience with Google Apps and/or Office 365

  • Experience supporting and deploying MacOSX laptops in a business environment

  • Basic TCP/IP network troubleshooting

  • Experience with VPN (IPSEC/SSL) remote access configuration and troubleshooting

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to align requirements with business needs

  • Provide on-call emergency services outside of standard business hours as needed

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)

  • CCNA/Comptia Network+ or equivalent experience

  • Experience working in a compliance-driven business (HIPAA, CJIS, PCI)

  • Experience using AWS (EC2, S3)

  • Experience deploying SSO across multiple business applications

  • Experience documenting work in a ticketing system, such as Atlassian JIRA
