As a Director of Business Development and Account Strategy at Vida, you will play an integral role in strategic planning and execution of plans and projects involving identification of opportunities, gaps, and trends. This includes working closely with internal teams in the development of our business strategies and programs, working closely with strategic partners across a variety of disciplines, in addition to helping build and expand our health partner ecosystem. This role needs a high level of business acumen to be successful, including performing data analysis, leading projects with internal constituencies, such as sales and marketing, as well as external partners.  This role also requires significant client relationship and client management capability.  Experience working with large health plans or within health plan environment is preferred.  This role reports to the SVP of Health Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic planning and execution of plans to identify Vida’s business opportunities, gaps and trends.

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, sales and marketing, to further Vida’s goals

  • Present analysis & make strategic recommendations to leadership

  • Lead strategy, performance, and relationships in key strategic accounts 

  • Help maintain and develop pipeline of new leads  

  • Influence key discussions about Vida’s partnership strategy

  • Analyze market, product, performance trends and ROI analysis

  • Lead business targeting & segmentation and salesforce effectiveness

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on analytics, data and ROI measures for the business

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or other external facing roles, ideally in a health tech company / healthcare industry, or from a management consulting background

  • Familiarity with the overall healthcare landscape, including major relevant healthcare legislation and companies within the industry

  • Experience with payers or working in health plan environment a plus

  • Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain leadership level relationships internally and externally

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment and have an ownership mentality

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and apply good judgment in resolving complicated issues

  • Proficient in the use of web and mobile technologies

  • Fluency in PowerPoint and Excel

  • MBA with a healthcare consulting background strongly preferred
