Contract - Quality Automation Analyst

Job Description


The impact of chronic conditions on health care is immense. Chronic diseases, including diabetes and heart disease, affect up to 1 in 3 individuals. Up to 1 in 4 people also struggle with mental health concerns. These chronic conditions drive 80% of the over $3 trillion dollars we spend on health-care in the US.

Vida Health is working to address this need. Our goal is to help people better manage their health by making positive changes to the way they live. Using our mobile-first platform, we connect people to programs backed by research and give them one-on-one support from personal health coaches or therapists. Clients meet with their coaches or therapists using secure in-app video chat and messaging. 

We are currently looking for a licensed therapist who is excited to facilitate best in class quality care for our members by monitoring quality assurance for our team of remote coaches and therapists.


Traditional large health care providers employ small armies of auditors to review stacks of documentation for completeness and quality. Vida thinks differently. We see a future where routine analytics are automated allowing clinical managers to focus on the most complex aspects of patient interactions. Thus, we are looking for a data analyst, savvy with SQL and reporting tools with bonus points for Python skill, to lead automation of our quality monitoring stack. A solid performance would generate automated reports that analyze the rich data generated by our actual work relative to the expectations set by the rigorous clinical standards in our fast growing patient population. However, for the right candidate with deeper skills and a passion for learning and innovation, this work can extend all the way to complex models using natural language processing to analyze the sentiment and semantics of our patient interactions and documentation. This is a cross-functional role that requires mapping the guidance of our medical team to the structures of our data team and reporting them to our quality team.

While this is a contract position, our team is growing rapidly, and so similar full time positions may open in the future.


  • Designs, plans and develops clinical quality reports primarily using SQL
  • Partner with medical leadership, product managers, engineers and client managers to translate clinical expectations into data insights
  • Build dashboards and reporting processes to monitor business and product trends.
  • Develop frameworks, tools, and best practices to apply data insights towards clinical quality questions
  • Design and analyze experiments, communicate results, and drive decisions


  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Must be skilled with complex SQL queries 
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Strong experience with end to end data processing pipelines, from data ingestion to advanced analytics
  • Experience with machine learning, particularly natural language processing and ideally in Python
  • Ability to work in a in fast-paced, high-growth environment of competing and alternating priorities with constant focus on delivery
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
