Clinical Dietetics Lead, Fluent Spanish

Vida Health is a virtual care company that combines a human-centric approach with technology to address chronic physical and behavioral health conditions. Our registered dietitians support complex, polychronic members by utilizing motivational interviewing coupled with the nutrition care process to optimize health outcomes for our members. As a Clinical Dietetics Lead, you will lead the coaches/registered dietitians in setting the standard for excellent patient care in digital healthcare.

The Clinical Dietetics Lead will report to the Clinical Dietetics Manager. 


  • Manage a team of registered dietitians, certified diabetes educators and coaches which includes but is not limited to training and development, administrative tasks, team and individual organization. 

  • Serve as dietetics department subject matter expert in cross functional projects related to program development, product enhancements, testing of features, capacity management, scheduling, customer service, and content development.

  • Participate in cross-functional team planning, development and testing of features that will directly impact the clinical dietetics team.

  • Mentor, observe and evaluate assigned staff based on identified competencies and performance metrics with goal setting as indicated.  Support coaches/registered dietitians whose performance does not meet expectations. 

  • Assist in developing policies and procedures for the clinical dietetics service line

  • Assist Vida Product and Content departments in program, content, and clinical tool development

  • Maintain consistent, timely communication with both co-workers and members needing customer support

  • Ensure each coach is onboarded on the Vida coaching platform, including any changes that are made over time

  • Answer coach/RD questions

  • Facilitate regular team meetings as well as regular 1:1 meetings with coach/RDs on your team

  • Review and approve time submissions

  • Manage and approve vacation and ensure team coverage 

  • Participate and facilitate Lead Coach meetings, All Provider meetings, Vida learnings, MI training and others as needed.


  • Preferably 2-3 years in healthcare management; managing employees as direct reports including responsibility for training, continuous oversight, leading meetings and providing feedback.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience coaching clients/patients one-on-one to help them meet their health goals and manage their chronic conditions

  • Must be fluent in Spanish

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree from an accredited university.

  • Credentials of a Registered Dietitian RD/RDN with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Commission on Dietetic Registration; if applicable, state licensure as a registered dietitian/nutritionist. 

  • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred

  • Strong, clear, transparent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently on projects

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team to move forward on department quarterly and yearly goals.

  • Strong ability to work cross functionally
