Graphic Designer

We are an agile, Berlin-based e-commerce brand providing exceptional-quality homewares at an exceptionally fair price. We believed that the industry was in need of a shake-up, and that the best way to do things was to do them differently. Our 50 employees, hailing from 15 countries, think the same.

As a quality-focused brand, having a strong graphic identity across all marketing and website channels helps us expand as a company and strengthen our visual image. We are currently looking for a passionate

Graphic Designer (m/f)

to take ownership of the creation of product and marketing-related collateral, from conceptualisation to fine drawing with the aim to drive sales and strengthen the brand identity. Together with the creative team you will contribute with innovative ideas for brand-related projects and campaigns, making sure the URBANARA values and specific marketing goals are displayed with a great sense for design, style and a love for detail.

Day-to-day, this means:

  • Creation of print and digital projects like catalogues, packaging design, flyers, inserts, newsletters, homepage banners etc., from brief to creative concept to print/publish.

  • Being responsible for the communication and cooperation with our print suppliers (paper selection, price negotiations, quality control etc.)

  • Being responsible for the consistency of the brand identity within all marketing assets

  • Working closely together with the team and other departments (e.g. Content, Marketing, Buying) on everything from creating inspirational mood boards to completion of stunning and on-point designs;

  • Establishing a highly organised workflow to manage multiple projects concurrently and on time.

 

You’d describe yourself as:

  • Having 3+ years experience with graphic design in online and offline marketing and advertising, ideally in an e-commerce/retail/brand environment;

  • Self-motivated and passionate about design, typography, photography, composition and with a great love for detail;

  • Experienced in creating on-brand campaign assets that work together in building an overall consistent campaign image

  • Able to bring together premium branding and a compelling, sometimes promotional message in one and the same campaign

  • A conceptual strategic thinker and creative designer;

  • Dedicated and structured, both independently and in a team;

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite;

  • Experience or understanding of HTML/CSS, digital, UI and UX is an advantage;

  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
