Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of various financial statements, in addition to further analyzing financial information. Displaying a high degree of responsibility, initiative, and business acumen, the Financial Analyst will contribute to meeting Upchain’s various reporting and filing requirements, as well as improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to learn quickly and demonstrate potential to take on increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy.

Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure all month end close reporting activities are completed with accuracy and on time according to schedule;

  • Build and maintain financial reports and models to assist with financial analysis;

  • Work with internal and external resources to ensure timely reconciliation of inter-company accounts;

  • Assist in the preparation of and financial analysis of the consolidated financial statements;

  • Assist in various ad-hoc projects; as required

This position requires an individual with strong analytical abilities, a fundamental accounting background, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Qualifications include the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance

  • CPA designation preferred

  • 2 to 4 years of experience required in a financial analyst or similar role

  • Advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint

  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities while being flexible and resilient

  • Experience with Quickbooks and Netsuite systems are considered an asset

  • Strong work ethic and ensures high quality outcomes are achieved

  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
