Job Description

As UpchainXLM's Director of Content Marketing, you will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to achieve our business goals. Your duties will also include sharing content through multiple channels to raise brand awareness and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices. You should have a great understanding of the buying cycle and the buyer’s persona. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing skills. You should also be an expert in content optimization and able to oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experiences.


Director, Content Marketing Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Collaborate with other marketing staff to plan and develop site content, style and layout
  • Creates messaging framework, persona value map, content roadmap, and content schedule
  • Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts
  • Optimize content according to SEO and ABM methods
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention


Director, Content Management Qualifications & Skills

You should possess fantastic interpersonal skills and be a strong leader. They need to be highly organized and have experience directing others. They should also be excellent communicators both orally and in writing. In addition to communication skills, we look for the following skills in a strong Content Manager:

  • BSc/ BA/ BBA degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or relevant field preferred
  • Proven work experience developing Marketing Content
  • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google AdWords
  • Hands on experience with MS Office Suite and WordPress
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Proficient with social media
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
