The Media Strategist position within the Media Strategy team has a day-to-day focus on developing exceptional paid social strategies and presenting them in impactful innovative presentations. The Media Strategist will support all sales teams developing proposals, recommendations, thought leadership POV’s and providing ongoing training on the latest social media trends and platform releases.

The Media Strategist will have a proven track record in social media planning and strategy with a wealth of knowledge spanning the social and digital landscape. Be passionate about working in a fast paced changing environment, live and breathe advertising and social media, intellectually curious, fast learner, team player and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Superior understanding of publisher products, Unified products, and their appropriate application for Unified’s clients

  • Apply knowledge and understanding by leading the strategic process and team to create innovative social strategies that span multiple disciplines including research, insights, paid social and Unified technology solutions

  • Develop innovative measurement plans to test theories based on observed relationships between social media performance and publishing tactics, ensuring client’s are set up for success and continually pushing the envelope

  • Articulately present complex social strategies and recommendations to clients, partners and internal teams

  • Produce high-end presentations around the latest social media trends, best practice, 101’s, partner and product releases for clients, internal use and training sessions led by the Media Strategist

  • Mentor fellow team members  by reviewing their proposal submissions and providing constructive feedback to help them learn and grow

  • Focus on continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement

 

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Media preferred

  • 4+ years in digital and social media

  • Brand and or communications strategy background desired

  • Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical and creative approach

  • Persuasive storytelling abilities

  • Passion for social media and knowledge of how to leverage it to achieve marketing goals

  • Robust knowledge of both branding and direct response campaigns

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information from a variety of sources translating into actionable insights

  • Online media research experience using tools such as comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen, Facebook IQ, eMarketer etc.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability

  • Ability to quickly become a trusted and respected member of the team through understanding of platforms and leveraging insights

  • Positive can do attitude, always happy to roll up your sleeves and support other team members

  • Superior PowerPoint, Keynote & Excel skills

  • Salesforce experience a plus
