Who you are:

You enjoy combing through large data sets and bending algorithms to your will.  You’re always looking to innovate current processes and you get excited when tackling problems you haven’t seen before. You stay up to date with the latest technology trends especially when they apply to the world of data science. You understand the complexities of the models you build/use and can easily explain them to clients and non-technical team members.

What you’ll do:

It’s your mission to put your mathematical chops to the test and find new ways to tweak, optimize, and expand on our algorithms. Working with different  teams across Unified, you will design, implement, and automate robust statistical and machine learning solutions to derive high impact results.

Need to have:

  • 4+ years experience in a data modeling role

  • Advanced programming skills in Python

  • Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of RDBMs like Postgres and Redshift

  • Experience using Git and the UNIX command-line

  • Proven track record of putting solutions into production

  • Strong leadership, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong knowledge of statistics, algorithms, data structures, and machine learning

  • Bachelor’s in a quantitative field

Nice to have:

  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field

  • Advanced programming skills in a language such as C++ or Java

  • Experience with AWS

  • Experience with social media or advertising technology

  • Experience with Spark and the big data ecosystem

  • Familiarity calling RESTful web services, specifically social APIs (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)

  • Data visualization skills, including JavaScript libraries such as D3 and Highcharts
