Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join one of clients in Geneva.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our network systems while driving continuous improvement and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Network Design and Implementation:

    • Develop and implement network architectures and solutions to meet business needs.
    • Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
  2. Maintenance and Support:

    • Perform regular network monitoring and analysis to identify potential issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems to ensure minimal downtime.
    • Manage and update network documentation and diagrams.
  3. Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and manage network security measures to protect sensitive data.
    • Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  4. Optimization and Scalability:

    • Optimize network performance through proactive measures and upgrades.
    • Evaluate new technologies and propose scalable solutions for future growth.
  5. Collaboration and Leadership:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business objectives.
    • Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN technologies.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and tools (e.g., IDS/IPS, NAC).
