Junior Network Support Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Network Support Specialist to join our IT team and provide day-to-day technical and network-related support.

This role is designed for an early-career IT professional with foundational networking knowledge, preferably with exposure to Aruba and Cisco technologies.

The position focuses on network support and troubleshooting, not on network design or architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first- and second-line support for network and connectivity-related issues

  • Assist with troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity problems

  • Perform basic configuration and support of network devices under supervision

  • Support Aruba and Cisco network environments (switches, access points, routers)

  • Monitor network performance and report issues to senior engineers

  • Escalate complex or critical network incidents appropriately

  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and procedures

  • Follow security policies and IT best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Junior-level understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)

  • Basic knowledge of wired and wireless network troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments

  • Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-support mindset

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Exposure to Aruba and/or Cisco networking equipment

  • CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar certifications (advantage, not mandatory)

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and monitoring tools

  • Basic awareness of network security concepts
