Information Security Manager

Job Description

The Information Security Manager is a hands-on role focused on actively managing and improving the security posture within the organisation The role includes managing security certificates, optimising configurations across Microsoft tenant, patching servers (including domain controllers), and organising regular penetration tests. The manager will also lead IT security audits, collaborate with auditors to address findings, and develop actionable improvement plans. This position requires a proactive, action-oriented individual who can swiftly address security incidents and conduct thorough investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Certificate Management: Maintain and manage security certificates and implement new solutions as required.
  • Configuration Optimization: Review and enhance security settings across Microsoft tenant to ensure optimal security posture.
  • Server Patching: Regularly patch and update servers, including domain controllers, to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Penetration Testing & Audits: Organize penetration tests for websites and work closely with auditors during IT security audits, creating and executing action plans to address audit points.
  • Incident Management: Monitor, investigate, and manage security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of future issues.
  • Hands-on Security Solutions: Proactively implement security solutions and respond quickly to security threats.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field; relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in hands-on information security roles, including managing security configurations, servers, and incidents.
  • Skills: Strong technical expertise in managing certificates, server patching, Microsoft tenant configurations, and security audits. Able to work under pressure with a proactive approach to solving security challenges.

  • Internal: Work closely with IT teams, auditors, and senior leadership to implement and manage security measures.
  • External: Coordinate with external auditors, penetration testers, and service providers.
