Position Summary As a Generative AI Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI driven solutions with a focus on generative AI models. This is a remote and freelance opportunity for people residing in Croatia.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create tools and systems that improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and drive business value.

This role demands a sense of ownership and a strong commitment to developing innovative solutions. You'll be instrumental in driving projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they deliver measurable value to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Model Customization: Leverage Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to customize large language models (LLMs) for specific business use cases.

• API Integration: Utilize platforms such as AWS Bedrock or OpenAI APIs to implement and integrate LLM-powered solutions into existing systems and workflows.

• Solution Development: Design and develop AI-driven applications that enhance decision-making, optimize operations, and improve customer experiences in the maritime industry.

• Data Management: Collaborate with data engineers to preprocess and manage data sources used to enhance LLM performance while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.

• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize LLM deployments to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.

• Innovation and Experimentation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in LLMs and generative AI, and identify opportunities to apply new tools and techniques.

• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored AI-driven solutions.

• Documentation and Communication: Maintain thorough documentation of workflows, configurations, and use cases. Effectively communicate findings and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a focus on large language models (LLMs).

• Hands-on experience working with LLMs, including fine-tuning, deployment, and evaluation.

• Proficiency in using platforms and APIs such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or similar generative AI services.

• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for version control, model tracking, and deployment pipelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering AI-driven solutions in a production environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile, multidisciplinary team.

Preferred:

• Experience in the maritime or logistics industry.

• Familiarity with reinforcement learning and advanced optimization techniques.

• Knowledge of maritime-specific datasets and challenges, such as voyage optimization or fuel efficiency modeling.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
